What is Architectural Vinyl Wrapping?

Using highly engineered, premium quality vinyl film, Architectural Vinyl Wrapping is a simple yet effective process, where an existing surface, is covered with a durable self-adhesive film to create a modern, realistic and long-lasting durable finish. It is very diverse and has multiple applications including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, fixtures, walls, doors, columns and furniture. Architectural Vinyl Wrapping is much cheaper and quicker way to upgrade your home or business without replacing all of the units. It is stain resistant, easy to clean and maintain. We can transform any surface from one colour or material effect to another to give your home a fresh new look.

Which vinyl wrap to use?

With a huge range of different styles, colours and materials, we can arrange to send you a free brochure which will help provide you with all necessary colours to decide on the finish that matches your taste. With coatings that include solid colours in gloss, matte or satin. Some of our most popular colour choices from our clients include gloss or matte finishes in grey, anthracite, graphite black and pure white. We can also replicate materials like wood, natural stone, marble, metal, concrete, leather and textured. We even have metallic and glitter finishes! The possibilities are endless.

How long does it take?

Typically we can transform the look of a kitchen or bathroom in 1 to 3 days, depending on the size and area to be covered. There is no loss of your kitchen or bathroom and it avoids the mess, stress and disruption of traditional rip out and replace refurbishment.

All of the kitchen doors are removed, repaired, cleaned and primed before being carefully wrapped in our dedicated workshop. We cover all external surfaces where possible such as the carcasses, outer facing shelves at the customer’s premises; in addition, you can opt to cover the inside of your doors too. The doors are then re-installed and cleaned, ready for your enjoyment. Underneath cupboards, worktops or under shelves are not wrapped. More complex projects such as commercial properties, or, industrial buildings may take slightly longer.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, all our work is covered by a two year workmanship warranty to cover the unlikely event of the vinyl peeling or displaying bubbles. All the vinyl we use is premium quality architectural grade for interior applications and has up to 10 years guarantee against excessive fading, discoloration and cracking, but, in most cases will last longer. It is UV protected so doesn’t fade in sunlight, Class B fire rated so is safe for kitchen environments and conforms to all building regulations. It has excellent resistance to humidity, dirt, wear and tear and is heat resistant up to 90 degrees. It can be cleaned using normal household or eco friendly cleaning products. The warranty does not include vandalism, product misuse, mechanical damage, chemical damage or incompatible substrates.

What preparation is required?
All we ask is that all areas have been cleared and that surfaces are clean with no grease etc prior to our visit.

What are the benefits?

Architectural Vinyl Wrapping saves you money whilst extending the life of your kitchen, bathroom or furniture. It is a low cost, quick, stress-free, no mess, minimal disruption solution to upgrading your surfaces without the need of expensive renovation. You can keep up to date with the latest trends and remain environmentally friendly as it reduces the use of natural materials and saves waste going to landfill. It is also easy to clean and maintain.

Is this solution environmentally friendly?

Wrapping is an environmentally friendly solution to changing the look of your home or business. With a shift toward using sustainable solutions, wrapping reduces the use of natural materials to make new furniture and prevents waste going to landfill thereby, reducing your carbon footprint.

Can you repair existing units?

In most cases we can fill cracks or chips and then wrap the existing surface. Please bear in mind wrapping is a cosmetic makeover and not a replacement solution. The wrap will often reflect the surface being covered. Please include close up photos of any damaged areas, so we can advise how we may be able to help.

Other considerations?

Architectural Wrap has impact resistance performance superior to many common surfaces such as paint or wallpaper. However, surfaces can be dented or scratched if sufficient force is applied. Impact resistance is highly dependent on the strength of the substrate material. It is resistant to staining by common substances such as food or household cleaners. However caustic substances, strong acids or strong solvents may damage the material. Rough of textured surfaces may require filling and/or sanding prior to application to give a smooth surface.
